Physical activity helps relieve stress that can be harmful to the body as well as keeps you up at night. Moreover, moving about during the day makes one tired and preps us for a good night’s sleep. One of the most important aspects of physical activity is it should be enjoyable. In other words, if you dread going to the gym, do yourself a big favor and don’t go.Seriously, the amount of cortisol - a stress hormone - the you’ll release by going to the gym because you’re “supposed to go” is enough to keep you up at night. Plus, cortisol discourages muscle growth so you won’t be gaining a healthily toned body.

Whatever type of activity brings you pleasure is the kind in which you should engage. Up to 30-minutes a day several times a week is wonderful. How about walking, biking, dancing, or swimming? If you'd prefer, yoga, working out with weights or running are always popular. I’m very found of playing in team sports, (have been since childhood), and to this day I play volleyball every week in a local league.
